\storynamehere\ Ch-3 Part-1Riza stood, favoring her right leg, and prepared herself in a fighting stance. This time she would not have the element of surprise.
'Well It seems we've gotten ourselves into a fair fight ' MORI said.
' we're screwed.' He ended blatantly. He was right. Riza was a saboteur, an infiltrator, a hacker. She never fought fights that were not on her terms. And here she was. In a fair fight. With an enemy she knew nothing about, and who knew nothing about her. They had both been injured slightly by the previous attack. She was screwed.
'You want me to take this one?' MORI offered, ready to assume control of Riza's body in a moment's notice.
'No' She shot back. She would never willingly let MORI take control of her body. If she did, she would already be embracing death.
'Your call just don't do anything too ' MORI paused to find the right word.
Riza kept her eyes on her opponent the entire time this conversation was going on. The creature seemed to
//?The Jackal (10)The sun was setting over the horizon. Though the Inu had wanted to camp in the remains of the Talzayn's camp, doing so would risk counter attack, so after looting the enemies' camps were burned. The Inu force had made final camp roughly half-an-hour's walk north. Jack had carried a napping Innocence for most of the trek, protecting her from the predatory eyes surrounding her.
Meal time was awkward, but Jack was used to not feeling at home. Fortunately for him and that of the creature he protected, Innocence was fast asleep since she had first met Jack, sleeping off the bruises that so subtly leaked through her white fur coat.
Later, at night in the Inu camp
Innocence was cold. She missed the warm bowl of Mother's body that always surrounded her when she slept. Then she thought about Mother, and Father, and all those warm fuzzy bodies she had used to sleep curled up next to.
Then, the fragile, soft ball of fur, surrounded in such a hostile, gritty environment, started to cry. It s

[I realize what I am now. A mortal? Not anymore. The God of Time? Ha! What a fool I was. No. I'm much more powerful I Am Entropy.]
The result was quite unexpected. Kodomo made a mental note to herself to be more careful before threatening a child in front of its parents next time- if there was a next time. The Talzayn counter-strike was swift and brutal; all Inu lines in the general vicinity had spontaneously broken, and one of her four honor guard had already been slain. Not that they had been much help; while the brunt of the Talzayn force had impacted the Inu, the one male Talzayn warrior and one female Talzayn Officer (Kodomo assumed these were the child's parents) had jumped through the lines completely, dismembering any in their way Kodomo's honor guard included. While her honor guard were busy defending from the Talzayn that inevitably had broken through, the two Talzayn parents had flanked Kodomo,

There was movement. There was too much movement.
"Mother, what is happening?" she asked.
"Not now dear" A soft and soothing voice ushered from the darkness. But there was something else she could hear in it. It sounded of fear.
She cracked her eyes open and stretched out on her fluffy fur bedding. The tent was dark and warm, just the way she liked it when she napped. An entity gently grabbed her by the skin on the back of her neck and picked her up.
"Where are we going?"
"Somewhere safe" the jaws that held her replied with a hidden pocket of desperation in them.
The entrance to the tent was opened and she squinted to avoid the painful red rays of sun from piercing her adolescent eyes. She could not see their camp through her squinted eyes, but she could hear it. There was movement. There was too much movement.
"Commander, the Inu force has started their approach. They outnumber us five-to-one. Shall we retreat?" A voice from an undisclosed location aske
\storynamehere\ Ch-2 Part-4Riza flew out of her nest and into the center of the house. Was it the original inhabitants of this house perhaps? No, the house had to have been abandoned for at least a week, if not more judging by the condition it was in. Then who could it be? Riza ran over to the front door, carefully making sure to not be heard.
She forced both her hearts to slow just enough that she could hear whispers through the front door. As she looked through a crack in the door knob, a glimmering reflection caught her eye. There was a gun! At least, it was a device held like a gun. If the intruders had guns, perhaps they also had the technology to sink the Atlark, or identify the construction that held MORI.
'First things first', she reminded herself. Riza looked back at the creature through the doorway. The gun was still holstered, and by the looks of it, Riza's angle prevented herself from being spotted by its owner. Good, she wasn't going to have any trouble with that as long as the creature just planned
\storynamehere\ Ch-2 Part-3Riza twirled the corner of the alley and dashed down it, careful to make sure the rags that covered her bioluminescent strips didn't blow off in the wind. Someone was following her! She had been scavenging for any pieces of technology she could find in the outskirts of the perpetually-open market near the center of the town when she realized one of the creatures was not the same as the others. It was much taller and skinnier than those around it, and judging by the other creatures' reactions to it, it was not native to the area.
Riza leaped behind a crate and held her breath. Her hearts pounded as she watched a shadow wander in front of her ad-hoc hiding place and
"Feww " Riza let out a sigh of relief. Perhaps her pursuer was not infact following her, and had just been going in this direction anyways? It didn't matter. She had done enough scaving for the time being. After double checking to make sure the coast was clear, she scurri
